Here's what's included and excluded in a Print Proof:
❌ Finishes (e.g. matte, glossy)
❌ Add-ons (e.g. embossing, debossing, spot UV, foil stamping)
Print Proofs are flat printouts (2D) of your artwork in CMYK on proofing paper. Proofing paper is thinner than the actual material that will be used in production, but allow you to see the color outcomes that are close to what they will be. These proofs are printed with digital printers and are the perfect type of proof for checking colors and artwork alignment.
Though they do not include any finishes nor add-ons, print proofs are an affordable way to see printing colors closest to the final outcome during production.
As you can see, the color closely matches the Pre-production sample (which is a 1:1 production sample), making it a better color match compared to Simplified samples.
